Cast bronze wheels, machined and faced for a rotational application? ~1.25 diameter and previously had an steel/ iron axle shaft by corroded residue left in the bore. Top and bottom shown. I have found similar items in the past, usually in multiples, which seems may indicate from a toy item, but i dont see any like these. After much searching Google images, I don't think they are from a toy as they were usually just stamped and formed metal disks with spokes.

I think they are too precise for a toy as well...
Any other ideas?

ok I said cannon, but the thought just came to me if those rusted off a toy cannon in the ground there should be another set of wheels and a barrel yet to find!

Thanks everyone for some good ideas... I looked thru my junk pile from the same site, I found two more that have NO holes in them. Note that most of the stuff from this site is from the 1950s and came from a lake. Also note that the OD is machined smooth as well, so may indicate a fast rotation and/or need for balance or precision.

I googled like crazy and find no toys with bronze wheels.
There are some similar toy brass cannon wheels.

I kinda like the idea of a roller skate, but the width is only .25 or .3 inches, would wear down so fast it wouldn't last very long. Probably make marks in the cement as well since the edges are so sharp.

I did try to chase down the idea these were from a model boat motor engines (high speed gas powered), but I don't seen that they had them in brass. It reminds me of the old Evinrude Elto motors with open flywheel.

I do believe that I have found pieces similar to the bottom ones W/O edge holes.

I still have them but 'Think' I have put them into my scrap Brass ...There good $ in clean (w/o major dirt , Iron , rubber) Brass or Copper.

those castor wheels on Etsy are cast iron and have a center hub. his are brass or bronze and flat sided as if they were mounted at either end of an axle and rode outside of whatever they were on
