Hi all. About to get my stuff together to try and build my home sluice. I was wondering what size tub you folks might recommend?

I'd like to have one big tub and then set two buckets in it.

25 gallon tub? 40? My sluice will be about 26 inches long I think.

Then how about buckets? One for the run off and on to set my bilge pump. A 5 gallon and a 3 gallon?

I hope this makes sense without a picture or plans.

Many thanks.

That equipment looks great! Thanks for the link!

Unfortunately, the smaller one is 300 bucks plus shipping. While I am sure it is better then what I could make, I can't afford that right now.

Besides, I want the fun of making something, even if it stinks! In the meantime I can save my moola for something good like the equipment in the link!

Man, I never posted up that tub I saw in walmart. Was under $15 and a hard plastic like the round ones for chilling beer or bobbing apples, only rectangular...

Ah, only $12 here and only sold in stores. That leaves you $275 for pump, sluice, hose, and pvc for a stand...
