Tommy probably left him by the time he hit the paper again or his teens, if he made it.

if he moved from Chambersburg or the age of every Thomas, Tom & T. Ruby
who made the paper dead or alive , in cuffs, or in government

I did Check & Jack Ruby was Older, His middle name was Not Thomas,
Jack Leon Ruby (born Jacob Leon Rubenstein; April 25, 1911
which also throws the Rubenstein name out there for consideration
