After getting Skunked with Terry today at the Ball field , being new to the hobby and just learning my new equinox 600 I was in sensory overload at the field, And found nothing. I asked Terry to test my machine and is 30 seconds he dug up a quarter, boy that hurt. So after getting home being all muddy and all I decided to practice in my backyard. Terry has taught me every thing I know and helped me every step of the way getting started in this hobby / Way of life.
So Anyway I started detecting in my backyard and digging what I thought sounded good but had iron back ground noises , First I pulled a dime, nickel then a few pennies and a quarter. But being new to this I never got any silver yet.......well low and behold my last dig this morning I pulled my first silver wow what a feeling, Not sure what it is but my son(who has good eyes)says the number is 925
Thanks to Fort Bedford metal detectors for an excellent price on a great machine.
If anyone knows what this piece is please let me know

Way Cool Anthony - Way to get that first Silver!:headbang:

Very cool! Congrats!

Congratulations on a very unusual silver find! A great first! Thanks for sharing with us.

Looks like some devil worshiping erotica to me! :angel9:

Very nice! I have added a magnifying glass to my metal detecting kit so I can get a better look at any precious metal stamps I come across. I used my phone in the past to download a magnifying program for the camera but the real thing just works better in my opinion.

Very nice piece of silver, congrats! :icon_thumleft:

Every weekend I go to NY to care for a 92 year old Aunt, she lives in the upper west side of Manhatten. When I pass White Plains on the parkway I always think of Terry. Now, when I pass Yonkers, Anthony! :hello2:

When are you going to come down a day early and detect with us? I got an Aerobed!:occasion14:

Thank you Terry for the kind offer!

Quality long stretches of time is in short supply. I had to create all of my college courses for online learning...not good for a Physics and Engineering Professor. I am a Face-to-Face Professor and feel I'm cheating my students with this online instruction. Most of my fellow Professors love the online teaching (perhaps because they are lazy?), but for me the Student/Professor interaction is 60 % of the learning process; I guess I'm old fashion? So, in theory my free time should be increased, but with email questions 24/7, Zoom meetings, writing lecture notes, creating labs, computer simulations and grading this is not the case. I have had enough of this Covid-19 and want to go back to my teaching and lab work.

Thats a really cool find and silver keep it going
