My MO as of late, especially when time has been short, has been to look for small wooded patches on Google Earth near the center of some of our small towns. I've put together a decent folder of spots to check out, although most end up being posted, impossible to enter, or a local party spot. This week I got lucky with one of them, a small flat area near some boulders and a pretty stream right off a main road.

I was in a really trashy area, in a modified Fast program on the Deus, with the hopes of picking out a high signal. Suddenly I got a series of high tones in a small radius right in front of a big rock. First out was one of the quarters, which broke my months-long silver quarter drought. Then a Walker, which we used to find much more frequently but also a long time since I've found one. Six silver coins in all, plus one wheatie. Nothing else for the rest of the morning, but I have feeling there may be some good things to find in between the boulders.

Thanks for looking, hope you're all having a nice fall hunting season,

Steve

Nice finds! That's like my fair grounds finds. The coins are still there waiting you just have to find the right spot. Thanks for posting!

Wow! Nice going on the Silvers. Those kind of days are remembered forever. Congrats!

That’s what it’s all about! Such a thrill to find those multiple silver spills, especially with a BIG one in the mix. Congrats!
