This was a day for silvers and one for doubles!

Stayed pretty much in just one triangle of ground, set off by a couple sidewalks in a Baltimore park. First coin was a 1902 Indian and there was another Indian late in the hunt, an 1894.

The silver coins consisted of two dimes: a 1901 Barber and a 1944 Merc, and two 1943P war nickels; one of the war nickels was removed from the hole stuck to a 1935 Buff. The Merc was part of a 3-coin spill that included wheats from the '40s and '50s. The other two silvers came in the form of .925 rings: a QVC Diamonique with cubic zirconia stones, and a second fashion ring. Some older finds included a suspender clip, civilian two-piece button and a collar stud. Ten wheats were dug in all, with the two earliest being 1909 and 1910. Well over $3 in clad.

This park is not "hunted out"!

Thanks for checking out the pics, everyone.

Thanks SuperShaun! That hunt was 7 hours. Lots of "swingin"...and "diggin". :happysmiley:

Thanks Carolina Tom! As you can see I'm vying for membership in the Charlotte Silver Mafia. :piratehand:

Thank you, Bill! The hunt brought many unexpected finds.

Thanks Trezurehunter! an unexpectedly bountiful hunt of a Baltimore park that was begun in 1854 and reach its present size in 1873.:unhappysmiley:

Thank Art! I like how a hunt like this raises my expectations. Let's see what the next outing brings.

Very cool, excellent finds McCDig

Thanks romeo-1! The smaller ring registered 91 VDI; the one with the stones was in the 80s.

Thanks J.Cache! No "cache" for me in one spot, but collectively....now that's another story.:laughing7:

Thanks digger460! That's what I like about these old parks. I met another detectorist there on Thursday and he found a clay marble and military cuff button that day.

Thanks Texas Ed! I'll get back to you on then next outing. Being semi-retired gives me more time to get out and detect. Been at it now seriously for about two and a half years.

Thanks beez0404! Yes, I've dug some "toasty" Buffs, but most of them this side of the park are in decent shape.
