I went out to visit Smittyman this morning, he’s a bit under the weather, and unable to hunt. We expect him back shortly. He did happen to have a spot for me to hunt though.
It was a nice grassy spot, but didn’t have many targets. Not much trash either. It’s been hunted before and has yielded good targets.
I was glad to see silver slivers peeking out of FOUR plugs. All turned out to be Rosie’s.
When this came out of the hole, I jokingly said it looked like the UN logo.
Turns out that it is a souvenir silver charm from the UN. Here is a non-dug example from the internet.
Quite satisfied. I headed home, with this hand full of goodies.
On the way home, I just had to stop. I’ve been going by this spot for 2 weeks, and not stopping, it will be developed soon, so I figured that I better do it now.
I found what I believe to be a military badge, but I can’t seem to ID it. If you know what it is, please let me know. It’s bound to be WW2 or later.
This sounded so good, like a silver quarter, it was only 3” deep. As soon as I saw it, I suspected that it was good, a wipe confirmed it.
A 925 marked “Celtic” cross that some hippie-type carelessly let escape. The Deus reeled it back in though, no worries.
It was a very good day for me. Here are all 6 pieces of silver from today.
Thanks for looking and good luck on your hunts!
Edit: Here is the military badge. EUCOM Signal School.
