This issue has nothing to do with any particular party affiliation. I do not support the current puppet, but I don't see any reason for an apology either. And if cheek swabbing constitutes a cavity search in her opinion then maybe she should get a real cavity search. Not to mention this from the U.S. Attorney, some of it I've already stated myself here (Actually I said it on the thread that was deleted)-

the women diplomat...if she had immunity...had committed a crime...not a visa issue,(good try) but a valid crime of perjury and defrauding the united states government, by declaring the person she hired was a legal immigrant...
so she lied twice...once to say the women was legal: having necessary documents to work in the US... two, that the woman was paid minimum wage...when she wasn't...

Agreed, not off topic. How many illegal aliens do we have that work under minimum wage voluntarily and undercut hard working American contractors? Why aren't we arresting or enforcing this? Come to Florida and I can point them out. Nobody makes any legit attempt to hide it.

Also, that women was underpaid by American standards but paid extremely well by Indian standards. Her quality of life here is exponentially better here then it was in India. Of all the fights to pick...why this one? Somebody is trying to make a name for themselves.

Come to Vermont.....our Gov. is now giving them drivers lincenses and telling law enforcement not to hassle them, they provide a needed spot in the economy.......well do it as a legal citizen, we all have to.......Gary

OB: Your assuming that those who don't have driver's license but still drive would actually pony up the money for insurance. If they commit one crime why would they care about buying insurance?

Well, if we are gonna go off topic...
Around here, they take all the jobs that no one else wants. They open bodegas and are self sufficient in their communities. Many of them work 3-4 jobs. I always see them taking the bus everywhere. At harvest time, I see dozens of them doing back breaking work in the sweltering heat. I also see many of them rebuilding the houses that were destroyed by hurricane Sandy. Just curious as to what these "illegal immigrants" have done that is so horrible?

I think on paper that economic theory is bulletproof.

I would love to see it applied in a real scenario, but an employer increasing wages so that a citizen can get off unemployment? Thats a nice fairy tale.

Agreed. It is a nice fairy tale. There will always be those who undercut the system and take advantage of the less fortunate. We should not prosecute the illegal immigrant. We should prosecute the American citizen who knowingly employs him/her. The real problem is those that seek to make a profit by cheating...immigrants are just unfortunate pawns in the game.

Okay, you got me on the latter. I didn't do my research.

Back to the OP...why did Kerry apologize and not Obama? Surely, something of this magnitude that effects our diplomats commands a head of state to head of state interaction.

She was wrong...no doubt about it..guilty. Somebody is still trying to make a name for themselves. Is the benefit of one person's glory worth the risk of two nations?

My point is this adminstration picks and chooses what laws to enforce, they ignore millions breaking our laws and arrest a single female diplomat for a visa issue.

Any illegal alien who enters commits a misdemeanor, any illegal alien who is pick up twice for illegal entry has committed a felony.
