My sister in law called and rubbed her husbands finds in my face with his new Whites XLT Seems i missed a few items MDing up in Idaho. For one a V nickel and a necklace she lost.Ok i know it happens but now iam starting to doubt my Garrett GTA 550.Roy even got permission to MD parks in Ontario Oregon.I wonder if my md has a problem or the XLT is that good of a machine.So the only thing i can do is put MR.550 in the corner of the garage for punishment.Bad Garrett no biscuit. AA

AA battery my new detector is the MXT not the XLT but it still kicks butt!

Lets be honest here - the 550 is not up to the MXT.

It is really a pretty basic model and lacks a lot of the features that make the MXT a great all round machine.

Id work to trade up soon.

I dont think theres anything wrong with your machine, AA, its just that this detector is so new that i've been digging every thing that beeps. the wife will be re-planting the lawn before long...........but its good for her.
