You gotta get thru the bad ones to get to the good ones. Better luck next week!

Rough week SilverSlug, probably just searching through a pile of someone else's dumps. Keep digging through 'em!

Skunk boxes are just the pits. I feel for ya. Keep your chin up, though. Like I've always said to others here: it comes in waves; you're just between them at this point.

11-21-14
$250 box of dimes (Loomis): skunk
$100 box of nickels (Loomis): 1940's (3) including a 1942-D:happysmiley:, 1950's (8), 2009 (6). I added to 1942-D to my date collection.
No silver, but anytime I can fill in a missing date in my coin folder, it's a successful hunt.

11-26-2014:
$500 box of halves (Brinks): skunk
$500 box of halves (Brinks): no silver; 1987-P for my Whitman folder.
No silver the first two boxes, but very nice to fill in a missing date in my Whitman halves folder.
11-27-2014:
$500 box of halves (Brinks): 1967
$500 box of halves (Brinks): no silver, 1981-S proof
The skunk streak finally ends at six. These boxes had obviously been searched--lots of marked coins. The 1967 had a super-dirty edge, so it had been missed.
11-28-2014:
$250 box of dimes (Loomis): 1958-D, 1960, 1964, 1964-D. I picked up the very first roll and placed a screwdriver on the end to uncrimp the roll, and there was an uncirculated 1964 reverse ender staring me in the face. Maybe the Loomis silver culling/counting machine theory can be put to rest now. My Loomis boxes have been so lousy for the past few months, but this box seems to debunk that theory.
$250 box of dimes (Loomis): 1940-S, 1 Canadian
$100 box of nickels (Loomis): 1 Norwegian Krone, 2 Canadians, 1 dateless Buffalo, 1939 (3), 1940's (5),
1950's (11), 2009-D (3)
11-30-2014:
$500 box of quarters (Loomis): no silver, found a 2014-D Great Sand Dunes, and a 2014-P Great Smoky Mountains for my date collection.

Never had luck at Wells Fargo. Seems like you've been raking in the silver though :D

Until this past week I was just about to give up on Loomis/Wells Fargo, but I had a really good week, so I think I'll stick with them.

12-9-14: $250 box of dimes (Loomis): skunk

I've had the worst luck with loomis dimes.... Moved to Garda and average a little over one per box

No, just a placement issue on the scanner

12-10-14: $25 box of pennies (Loomis): 13 Wheaties (oldest 1936), 2 Canadians
12-12-14: $500 box of halves (Brinks): skunk
12-13-14: $500 box of halves (Brinks): no silver, 2013-D for the Whitman folder--final date needed to complete my collection of Kennedy halves
12-13-14: $500 box of halves (Brinks): 1966 (2), 1967 (2), 1968-D, 1969-D (2)

Congrats on finishing your Kennedy Whitman folder! Will you grab another one and start over? Little bit of silver this week too which is nice.

If I thought it had any value, I might. Would something like that sell on e-bay for a decent amount? I've been saving some of the NIFC's so it wouldn't take much to complete another folder.
