Since I found a couple of silvers this last weekend, I thought that I would give a quick roundup of the silvers that I have found on my old property.

In the past 2 years my son and I have found about 150 coppers dating from the 1650's thru to the 1940's, with the majority being George 11 and 111 eras. I did a post on those earlier. In comparison we have found 22 silvers so far, which is a pretty good ratio I think.

The oldest three are a nice 1793 Mexico Half Real, A 1690's William III shilling, and a very worn coin that I suspect is earlier in the 1700's. I can see the faintest outline of a hair bow on one side that reminds me of 1710's and 20's George I, which is possibility for sure, but we will never know for sure.

With the exception of the 1883 25 cent, the Victorian coins are in a bit harder shape. Also are a 1892 10 cent, 1860 Sixpence and a 1874 5 cent.

This is the only wreath and crown 50 cent I have found to date. A common year but I don't mind.

The 1911 'godless' 5 cent is very nice. The 1919 5 cent and 1920 10 cent were a pocket spill.

This 1945 10 cent and Georgian half penny were also in the same hole, but somehow I doubt if they were lost at the same time. It always pays to check the hole.

Surprisingly, most of the fish scales are Eddies in spite of his reign being significantly shorter than Victoria or George V,
the dates are 1874, 1903H, 2x 1907, 1910, 1911 and 1919.

I know there are more out there, hopefully I will be updating this with more to come.

Just about 2 dozen silvers off the farm is great.
It shows there has been a lot of occupation over the past few hundred years.
Best of luck sniffing out many more.
