Added these to other post but they were separate, had a great time! The AT was ringing from all the slag but I turned up the iron audio and bing bing bing 88/90/89/88 and I said OOOOOOOH YEAH!:headbang: out pops the merc 5 inches down . Mercs were unidentifiable, but some TLC did the job!:headbang: image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

"bing bing bing 88/90/89/88" is not a typical signal for a merc. Was there iron trash around?
Yeah he said it was ringing from all the slag (iron)

Yes, tons of iron slag as well as bailing and fence wire which always hits high. And your right Mercs usually hit like a penny on my AT. 79/80/81 , but the consistency of the numbers led me to believe it was a coin and I was right!

Yes I have noticed that also. I have had some high tone hits and got all excited only to find Junky older iron mixed in. I also noticed it is commonly older nails and bailing wire that fool mefrequently.
