Went out detecting this morning trying out my new 3" coil and found this odd looking piece . It's marked 925 . Someone suggested it's an urn to keep peoples ashes in. What do you think?

I did not try to open . Weight feels about 240 grains . Thanks for the help .

It has the shape of an amphora, but it you take a look inside and see ashes, it's an urn.

How many inches tall and wide is it? Can you post a pic of the back of it, and one of the side/profile? We need to know the size to determine what it is. After looking at your pic, I thought I saw 2 things; could you verify? It looks to have a blue stone at the top and a jewelry type loop. If it is small, it could be a sterling charm.

Breezie ,I think you may be right . It may be a charm of some sort , maybe used to carry something inside . Thanks to all for the replies and suggestions . I'll try to open later this week and check inside.
