I went out for a colonial reconnaissance mission after work and that quickly fell apart. Big bummer there, but I did however find a ton of modern silver in one hour. I've found more silver coins in a day but never 8 in an hour!

All from a public park! The first pic has 9 coins since one Roosevelt was mixed in from a hunt the other day.

Good digs and enjoy

Eight in an hour is exceptional!

You guys in North east Jersey have all the good parks

Up north is where all the silvers hiding huh?
Grats

Wow, that is unheard of these days in a public park!

Nice pile of silver

Seems pretty nice to me! But......"if it ain't seated......." ;) lol

Eight is impressive but coming home with multiple silvers from public places around Newark New Jersey seems the norm

It kills me that you use the term " modern silver"
That's all I got down here.:laughing7:

Yeah Im pretty sure most people didn't have cars or electricity for that matter when SLQs were around

Absolutely. The signals were strong, spot on, and 4-5" deep. Nothing was hidden, no dig marks, lots of high tones. I was shocked

Thx. It's starting to seem that way. I see a lot of posts from Essex county NJ guys. There's so many small parks around here that some sneak right under people's radar.

Excellent hunt Scrappy,,
Eight coins in one hunt is my personal best
You'll break a 100 silver coins easy this year.
Especially at this rate.
Congrats on a Silver Hunt.

Nice Silver!
Sounds like you found a virgin park !
Gary

Thx Gary. It seemed pretty virgin. I was aiming for colonial finds since right across the street was a major colonial hub. Unfortunately it looks like it has a good 8" of top soil on the land, but even so the topsoil contained all that silver coinage. That's fine too;)

Lol. Yep, I haven't been counting but I'm must be over 50. Last year was 250 but I don't think I'll hit that again.

Cheers man
