I had a pretty frustrating day at work yesterday, so when I saw the weather was going to be nice today, I took half a day off to do a little detecting. I went to one of my haunts and checked in with the groundskeeper. I started with my Whites machine and wasn’t long and pulled my first wheat. I was getting so many trash signals that I was getting a bit agitated. I then figured I would pull out the Ace 250 with the sniper coil and man am I glad I did. I started getting the coin signals in between the trash. I ended up with 3 Mercs(2-1936 and 1-1943) 10 Wheats, with the oldest I could read was a 1942 and a 1940 Silver Quarter. This was the best day I had finding silver in a long, long time. So for the non believers in the Ace 250 this will show that it can find the old silver coins..especially using the sniper coil. HH everyone and hope you find lots of treasures. Geeeezzz..and I almost forgot to add..I found my first Buff nickel...a 1936.

wyattrr...it is great weather here now but think the rain is coming in for tomorrow...Hope yall have better wx up your way soon.

Excellent finds!

Someone once told me I don't graduate from Newbie to Novice
until my coins don't show those tell-tale scratches which indicate
we are too hasty in retrieving the coin, as I see occurred with
your quarter. (Not that I'm criticizing . . .) ;)

Hahaha..I will always be a Newbie..The hole was a bit deeper than I usually dig and I gave it one last good shove down the hole...oooopppps..lol

Hey, what's the hook thing with the handle. Seems I saw those recently and it pertained to the Civil War?

Gnats destroyed me today....

Very awsome, always love silver. Congrats on your first Buffalo.
Hope your find eased your frustration, always works for me...

Cool, finds. I'm glad you got to get out. We had a pretty day here too, but I think rain is on it's way.

Good silver! Did George scream when you tried to decapitate him? ;D
Dime...think I did some silent screaming when I saw what I did..
I don't have a clue as to what kind of clip thing it is but figured it might have been used probably on some type of tent. This place had a lot of fair tents. Just a guess on my part but don't think it is too old.

Awesome finds.

I guess i need to research a sniper coil.
