Today was one of those fun detecting days that are a rarity. It felt as if I could do no wrong. Trash was few and far between and old targets were plentiful. I finished the day with 12 pieces of silver. I thought I had 13, but one of the 3 crosses I found was silver plate.

Total Finds:
18 Wheats
2 Indian Heads
1 Silver Roosevelt(1946)
1 Silver Washington (1942)
6 Mercury Dimes (1917, 1918S, 1927, 1929, 1937, 1944)
2 Barber Dimes (1898, 1902)
2 Sterling Crosses
Gold Plated locket (I see no markings, so I assume it is plated)
Aluminum charm bracelet piece

What a fantastic day out! Please give us a little more story about where these finds were made . To go

this deep , do you have to swing rather slowly ? and were silver coins displaying lower than normal VDI

numbers due to the depth? I'm new to the hobby so any such info is priceless. Thanks , Argentium.

These were found in a park and were all roughly 7-10" deep.

I swing at a rather nice clip for using an explorer, but I only go this quickly in cleaner ground.

I don't use the numbers on my machine. It shows a screen that tries to estimate what is in the ground on ferrous and conductive levels. Even though they were deep, they all showed nearly perfect ID's and I knew what I was digging before digging it.

Congrats on a fine silver day. I've had a 10 silver day and 11 silver day last weekend and know how it makes ya feel. I use the Sunray probe as well and would say it's well worth the money. Keeps me from scratching up some of those nicer coins. Keep us posted on these killer digs.

That's close to my silver count for the year! Man, has it been hot here in Denver! Congrates!

I just got back into detecting in June and that makes 47 since then. I took about an year long hiatus from detecting, sadly.

My goal is 100 for the year, but at the rate I'm going I will be there by October.

Just kidding, Awsome find friend keep it up ! Good silver too !

Man your killing em!!! Better reup your goal to 150,lol. Sweet finds and a very nice assortment. Taking a year off didn't seem to hurt you at all. Like riding a bicycle I suppose. Your machine seems to be really getting the old deepies congrats and HH Tom
