HEY GUYS AND GALS

This is a combined hunt of 7hrs total.

A few ..WHAT IS IT ...items ...any help on identifying would be appreciated.

The seated is a HALF DIME...not sure of the date..either 1881 or 1861.

The old copper with no date is a mystery to me !

Old REV WAR BUTTON ...don,t know what is on it... the curl on the bottom makes me believe it is not a 5.....I found this mornings hunt ....last 7 pictures.

The bale seal.... has C H on the bottom...my initials..kinda funny.

Ty for looking !!

awesome finds, but I'm no help to ID any of the unknown stuff

I can tell you one thing.... you're consistent enough with those early military finds that something great is on the way! Something as good as anything you've dug so far.

Another one for your collection! They were also at that first battle at Lexington and Concord. :headbang:

WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.....What is the odds of 2 of the last 3 buttons being from the start of the American REV WAR !!!!!

TYVM for teh ID......

THAT IS A LOT OF HISTORY RIGHT THERE. !!!!

Nice variety of finds. The half dime must be 1861 because 1873 was the last year they were minted. Mike

Ty mikefromillinois

You are correct....when looking it up online it shows a 1881...but in the Standard Catalogue of World Coins...it s last mintage is indeed 1873. Just got my books for my birthday !!

Good Stuff! Is the spoon silver ? and are there hallmarks on it ?

TY ARGENTIUM..

Says..Nevada D&A ..I just assumed it is silver.....dug it in muccky slim at low water...just wiped it off and thats what it looked like.

Could be just plated.

Ty IP...nice coin ! Why did they not put a date on that coin.?

A token not having a date is not really unusual, but the neat thing about that coin is the person on the bust has never been identified.

Again you knocked it out of the park, fantastic button and half dime, The spoon may be plated, hard to tell but with no real hallmarks one can't be 100% sure if you don't see any of the plating starting to peel or lift.
You must be hitting it on the ebb and flood of the tides, hard core for sure. Well done,
Dave

Presumed to be Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson..:dontknow: Great set of finds, like IP mentioned good things coming your way, is the horseshoe shaped item a broken key hole cover :icon_scratch:

Is possible it is a key hole cover....the missing piece looks like it has been broken along its edges..but on one of the ends it looks like it is rounded a little and not broken off.:dontknow:

I dug this butter knife in My front yard last year when I first got started M.D. ing , its marked Sterling but is Bubbling and peeling , so Yours just may be solid silver or Pewter? IMG_0449.JPG

You're on a roll Aqua and another great button for your collection!
