Silver Rings

I went out on Saturday morning with Tnetters KurtStuben and Mangum. Obviously Mangum didn’t have a good spot, so he reluctantly agreed to go slumming with us. Tip of the hat to Kurt for driving us in his swanky new F250.

First hole of the morning, 20 Ft. from the truck, and I see this... bound to be a silver ring.



A quick wipe, and sure enough, silver ring. You should have seen the other boy’s faces, utter disgust.



However, they had the last laugh, as the ring turned out to be JUNK. It looked so good, but as you can see, it has a pop on it. Dang man.



We went to the second spot. We got a few wheaties, but no silvers. I dug this signal, that sounded like a copper cent, and knew it was just bound to be a silver ring, but after the earlier fiasco...



Turns out this one is good, marked Sterling inside. It says “SWEETHEART”.



As soon as I found the ring, those other guys immediately started bottom feeding all over me! I hadn’t been within 100 yards of either of them all day, but that silver ring whipped them into a bottom feeding frenzy! Look at them. Shame on you two.

I liked them both but the real silver does make you feel better. the junker was just getting you ready for the real thing and also primed the sharks or wolves that were with you. I don't care what anyone says, a silver ring is a sweet find anytime! congrats Tom

Thanks DL. It was a hot day, and there was a Wendy's around the corner, if I was smart, I would have rewarded myself with a Frosty... I went for a nap instead!

Kurt lives the life. He seems really happy with this wife. Much better than that "starter wife" he used to have!
