this is an idea of the types of homes we get to hunt around here, 1800s occasionally, mainly early 1900s like you see here1.jpg3.jpg

This house is the perfect "picture of nectar".

Love to hunt that.

thanks, aarc, they looked the part, but were deader than dead

Great hunts you both had there. I do like when our detectorists also post pictures of the spots they have detected.Older homes like those are almost always productive,
thanks, I usually don't put home pics in just decided to on this post

Nice finds Chris. Good to see you and OD out hitting it up.
thanks tom, if not for the finds we at least get in a bunch of laughs

Great mix of finds.
thank you

Those are some nice finds Chris. Those bells must be area specific because you don't see them here. Glad you and OD got out for a hunt. Nothing like a day out with a friend.
thanks, it was a long day, fun, but long!

Nice finds love the bells and a silver day is a great day
thank you joe, it's nice to get an intact bell that actually still rings

Nice Chris. Too bad the Washington wasn't a 1932. They're always date off or a mintmark short buddy. At least for me. I found a 1916 Merc two days ago. The mintmark area was obscured. Said a prayer, washed it off, and.......crickets....

Love the button.

Technically speaking (only), that type is a Sliegh Bell & not a Rumbler or Crotal.

Thanks steve, I know what you mean, my only half ever 1904s barber is semi key and of course I scratched the face bad, lol oh well

Thanks Cru, I realized that after I looked em up a bit, thanks!

455 WHAT A NICE RR BUTTON AND CROTAL BELL.

Great finds! Like almost everyone else. Love the Crotal bell, and great score on the silver. Following Old Dudes info on your button. Here is a newspaper article from 1900. Found them dating as far back as 1894 mentioning the Traction Co. image.jpg
