I started out at a site I found on a 1930 Sanborn map that I overlayed onto a present day google earth pic. There used to be 9 houses here but only two remain. Got there only to find it practically impossible to get to from the heavy growth. Bummer. So back to Silver park I go. They just mowed the grass so I saw it as a opportunity to get as close to the growth around the perimeter of the park. Wound up with a pretty worn 1938 quarter, then a 1941 Merc with a 37 wheatie in the same hole. Also a 1924, 42, and 46 wheats. Prior to doing the perimeter I was digging tons of old style pulltabs and found a no date buffalo. The cross I thought was silver because I saw Italy marked on it but it's not. Also a cool button and a mashed up sterling ring. I'd much rather come home with these kinda finds than a pouch full of clad. Oh yeah stepped in some real stinky poo towards then end of the hunt.
