I found this tarnished silver flask. I cant find any markings on it but the Indian on the front looks alot like a gorham flask I saw go on ebay for nice $$$. I was told if I clean the tarnish off I probably would find a makers mark. I like the pantina so I havnt done so at this time. Has anyone seen one or know anything about this flask?

Beautiful find ....I wouldnt mess with the patina either....I think you have a pretty good match with the Gorham there.

I purcased it from a lady that lives a short distance from me. Her husband past away from cancer and it was his fathers, fathers flask. Late 1800s she guessed. She sold all of his collectables some were valuable, old decoys, My brother bought a large bone handle case knife near mint...1920s, bamboo fly rods, old fishing tackle...I could go on forever. A lot went before we arrived but this flask was in with a box of outdoor sporting books.

Beautiful flask! Sounds like she had a whole lot of good stuff.Welcome to treasurenet, looking forward to more of your posts. :)
