This year has been so busy that I have only been out hunting in the past 6 months maybe 20 times . Today I finally got out again and hunt a school that I hunted about 12 years ago . No luck back then but today was different! The silver item I found rang out as a +75 at 4 inches , a 925 silver fish charm :hello2: . The gold item was a +35 at 2 inches and is a .9999 24k gold bracelet :headbang: . It weighs 8.06 grams. Also found 4 junk rings . Total clad was $5.56 .

Excellent hunt. The 925 and gold are great!

Wonderful Thai bracelet. Whenever you see that snake like clasp and of course that deep yellow color you know you have a piece of high karat Thai jewelry.
I agree! But not just Thai on the clasp and purity. It is all of Asia and India as well as Malaysia Indonesia Singapore Japan and all of the area. It has to do with religious beliefs. They believe that anything adulterated is "Impure" thus shunned So most of the gold is pure. They also like Flawless Diamonds and gemstones (pure) so as a rule if this piece had diamonds they would also typically be a vary high quality.
Awesome find!

Heavy silver plate and starting to flake off .

Throw it in the tumbler for the heck of it. I had a bracelet not long ago marked Italy 925 that was flaking tiny silver specks that I thought was fake.

Great hunt

That gold bracelet is a really sweet find. I have never found anything made of 24 kt. If I find a piece of jewelry that is really pretty,, I may consider selling it above gold or silver melt prices. Ugly or damaged stuff goes right into the "Smelters Pile."
Although finding anything with a 24 kt purity is an extraordinary accomplishment, if it's ugly, it gets melted.
Congratulations on a sweet find.

Great hunt.
That kind of gold doesn't show up very often....

That was the first thing I did. When it came out it had lost some of the plating.

It's going to get cashed in soon . Looking to buy a stereo for my 1967 Dart GT.

Awesome pure gold Glen!! What a great hunt! I am with ya on the work thing.....so busy. Congrats brother!

Nice finds, kind of a low signal for gold right?

Not really . 10k ring could be a +8 but a 22k or 24k item the VDI number will increase . I found a 24k large pendent years ago that came up as a +74 .
