What a week we've had! I have to say, it's been our best ever. A couple of weeks ago I was driving downtown and noticed that the city had knocked down and old building. All that was left was dirt I got home as fast as I could and told my husband that we need to go tomorrow. The next day he went out and I went out later due to an appt. As soon as I got there, he showed me his first CW bullet. Not long after that I found my first as well. Come to find out, that spot had been a campsite among other things later on. The next day there was like 6 of us out there. As of today, this is what we have found.
1860 IH (pointed bust I think)
1903 VN (my first)
1858 Flying Eagle cent
1925/28 Wheats
1919/1926 Merc's
5 cents in trade token
1 rare CW bullet "New Austrian" and many others
1953 Silver dime
Connecticut State seal button
Eagel Button
One unknown (on the top left, has crown and shields)
Some small unknown buttons
The 1944 liberty was found in front of a 1853 house along the sidewalk. The 14kt charm and FFA emblum was found at a park. I also have a "whatsit" It looks like a whistle but I found it along w/ the CW bullets. ANy idea??
