Coin is Austrian commemorative:
This medal looks like a Guldiner, a famous coin made at the mint in Hall (near Innsbruck), Tyrol. "1. TIROLER TALER" means "First Tyrolean Taler", "A 900" probably reads "Ag 900" (the silver content), and "1303 ~ 1953 HALL IM INNTAL" refers to the city jubilee (Hall officially became a city in 1303). This is the original, so to say - the 1486 guldiner:

Elephant is a silver salt holder - missing the glass inset - need a better photo of the hallmarks to identify - may be late Victorian era.

The elephant mark looks like David Bridge - late 19th C.

I believe the passant lion means quality silver and the 'U' in the shield is 1895.

The left facing "Lion Passant" is the British or Indian hallmark for sterling silver (at some point India changed to a left facing elephant), the "U" will be a city mark, the third mark will be the date mark and the last mark will be a duty mark, used until 1879. A lot of good information on silver hallmarks to be had at 925-1000.com. The brooch also appears to be of British manufacture made sometime after 1879 lacking the duty mark as it appears. However, during the first 100 years of the United States, american silversmiths frequently used "pseudo silver" hallmarks to give their coin silver goods apparent authencity (most scrap dealers wont accept them), so its possible if you can't find exact matches to marks you have, they may be of early American manufacture.

Perhaps you are right. I am not an expert in precious metal markings but, based on my research, the interpertation of this mark is:

DB = David Bridge
Left facing passant lion = .925 silver
U in shield = London 1895
F in oval = Import
Lion face = London Assay office mark

There is no city mark as this piece is an import.
