Got invited to hunt a old house in Bagdad Ky yesterday. It was trashed out & hard to hunt. After about 4 hours Weaver had 2 Wheat cents between 3 of us. We decided to go in the back field up on a hill by a old cemetery. As we were walking back a car pulled in the driveway & i though oh no, here we go again, Herb had gained permission thru the guy that works the farm. As it turned out it was a pleasant suprise, it was Allen from Bagdad, he is ok & we are going to plan some future hunts. As we got on top the hill we saw black dirt in the plowed field beside the cemetery, you know what that means, as we got in the field you could see signs everwhere, broken pottery, old glass, & square nails. Yea Haw. Right off the bat i got a dime hit & looked down to see a silver dime laying on top the ground with just the edge showing. It was a 1839 0. Hot dang it's on now. We hunted this field for about 4 hours & never found another coin. Herb got skunked, Weaver found 2 flat buttons. i found the dime, 7 buttons and a arrow head. It sure felt good to spank weaver since it doesn't happen very often.

Ordinarily, I'd be happy with a Rosey after a silver drought. Finding a seated dime is like having a deluge!
