SILVER DOLLARS!!!!

Hey All,
I've been so busy lately, and not being able to get out and do any quality detecting,
the wife comes through!!!! My wife is a checker at a major grocery store chain, and
some guy came through her line, and paid for his grocerys with SILVER DOLLARS!!!
There's a few Ike's in there, but it's all good. All she had to do is make sure her
register comes out right, so she bought them dollar for dollar! What a deal!!! Note in
the pictures, the one is in AU condition. Still has the mint luster!! Needless to say, she
was quite the happy camper!!

Yeah, I'm thinking that he must have gotten them in a box lot from an estate sale.
The wife said he was an older gentleman, and did not look like a criminal... if that
means anything. There is not any key date coins amongst them, so I doubt it was
anyones big collection. I'm as honest as the next guy, but when it comes to things
like this, they were acquired legally, and they are now mine. Same thing with finding
class rings. When I find em... I keep em. They are hard to come by in the first place.
I've dones tons of community service, helping the cops find evidence, etc. so I
consider that doing my part. The gold & silver stays with me.

Congratulations. Same thing happened to me a few years back, youngster paid for his auto parts with Ikes and Morgans. Unfortunately these were stolen. Police came around two days later wanting a description of the individual. Seems there was a burglery earlier that week and the coin collection was part of the loot. Don't know if they caught the guy, but I got to keep the coins

great finds mr slabman!!! gotta love the wife fer that one,also same thing happened last year to a gas station here,i knew the owner and he let me but 13 morgans from him for 1.00 apiece, and he kept 25, the people that had them did not look like criminals. just unaware!!!
