I think in our case, we had two "den mothers" and the dues money collected ended up going for other things and never got replaced or earmarked for the award patches for our uniform shirts. Kinda sad really, I would have liked to continue on

Cool find. I was in the cub scouts when I was in grade school. I enjoyed it but me and the other boys were never awarded the patches we had earned so we all quit.

I was the opposite I just wanted to camp every so often and play in the woods and sit around a camp fire… maybe splash a little citronella in it to watch if flash. They kinda got mad I didn’t really try to complete my badge requirements…

On a different note did I miss it or did you say what kind of site you are hunting?

As with 90% of my hunts, it was an early 1900s permission here in urban (suburban) Kansas City. Thanks for asking and that's the second silver cub scout ring for me in 5 years of detecting.
