Well to be honest, this was really unexpected, I had spent the day working on my house, and while taking a break, I broke out the backup machine, my little fisher F2, There is a huge oak tree in my front yard where Im building my house, I started swinging and found a newer penny, probally one I dropped lol, then got a solid hit, I was thinking a dime by my numbers, this little machine doesn't go to china, but when it tells you its a coin...well its a coin. I started digging and found a little chain like one you would find on one of those things that you put your keys in if you drop them into the lake, that had me wondering so I scanned the chain, not the reading I had before, scanned my dirt pile and got my dime reading, so here I am looking for this dime in a clump of dirt, when I picked up what I thougt was a river rock, very common at this site, as I was tossing it to the side, I noticed it gave me my dime reading, I wiped the dirt away and noticed it was a change purse, one of those rubber ones you squeez to open, it was very heavy, so I peeked inside, and thats when I got excited, I could see a standing lady right up front, and as of right now, thats the only coin I have viewed, I can tell there is more silver in there, its packed with coins, but I promised my 9 year old coin addict he could be the first to open the coin holder, so until i get an update tommorow, this is all I have to show, the back of it has a 1958 Wake Forest college football schedule on it, so Im expecting everything to be prior to that date, will repost coin pictures tommorow.

Thanks for all the replies and interest in this coin find, I let Hunter open it up this morning, contents include the 1943 walker, a 1950, 1958,1946,1956 rosies, 2 wheats that I managed to misplace, a unreadable Buffalo, and a 1957 silver certificate folded up inside that didn't come out as good as it went in lol, all in all we had a great time, and thanks again for all the interest.

Excellent find. I found my first silver pocket spill just yesterday and I can attest to the excitement it generates!

Nice going there! Thanks for sharing. I think there is enough left of the dollar bill that if you sent it to the treasury department they would give you a replacement bill in place of it. It you wanted to do that. Neat story.

That is a really nice find...multiple silver coins, a silver certificate and a Buffalo. Too bad about the wheaties but as long as they were not any key dates no big deal. I'm sure they will turn up.

Congrats again
