silver cap

I found this small cap today. Its about the size of my pinky fingernail. It has threads on the inside and an "S" (i think) engraved on the front. Any help identifying?

Pictures of the underside would help - I'm wondering if it could be a cap to a perfume bottle ?

Looks like an "S" to me . I agree with the perfume bottle idea. I would call it embossed rather than engraved.

Might be a musical note perhaps? Or an S.....LOL
