Hi Everyone!
Here's stuff i found over the last few days,
Silver shoebuckle frame, A first! thought it would be brass,
but when I tried to flake the crust off I knew it was the good stuff!
similar to the large brass in design, looks similar to some on the 1650-1720 buckle page
Handstruck Token on 1837 LC. not listed in Richards database.
E. ESSE & Co / General Commission/And Forwarding Agents/Portsmouth NH/
Importers of / Crockery / And Glassware / Dealers / in / Coal.
Can see the beading from edge of Cent and '37' from date.
A Cuff size Navy Button, CW Era Scoville BM
Bunch of other stuff, silver spoon handle with unknown hallmark (Eastern europe?)
one Merc & one '53 dime, Pewter musketball (a first) sand shaker top, buckle fragment & stuff.
Oh yeah, A 'Bartmann jug' fragment, these were a popular design, made in europe 16th-17th C !!
