......was not to be found today or last week, but, read the whole post!!!!!!! I hope it doesn't bore anyone. Silver at Granny's!! It is quite long. Last week I arrived at a park near the Hill only to find these bums already out and detecting. They never wait for me when I am late.
I caught up with the bums while they were taking a break The bum in the red shirt was the only one to catch silver. He got lucky though. I was just about to detect that very same exact patch of grass, but, I was busy digging up clad.......Nice Rosie Justin!!!!
No one else got much other than clad. I dug a lock dial. Wasn't sure exactly what it was. Steve nailed it's function perfectly. He said it looked like some sort of locking mechanism judging by the square notch on the back. Sure enough, about 3 feet away, I dug the lock. Nice call Steve!!! That monster piece of "thing" on the left is the largest single piece of lead I have dug to date. It's gotta weigh 5 pounds...most of the rest of that junk came from the Hill and an old park near there, after we all departed.

Today I played hooky from work while the wife and son did a half day at work and school. I hunted for about two and a half hours. I spent about thirty minutes at the Hill, but, the other time was spent "in proximity". The following digs from from "The Proximity".......
Amerock tag and clad. Check the left side. In true TokenFinder fashion I have once again managed another cache of tokens. Why me? Why not me? The ones on the left are obviously new and were just under the leaves!!!! They keep getting cleaner and cleaner. Sooner or later I will find the guy while he is doing it!!!! I also dug this tray today. Silver over tin or something. I'm not even going to clean it..... 32 pennies, 7 quarters, 8 dimes, and one ICC token....again. The very last token I dug was ICC. This is the first token I dug today and it is the first since I dug the last ICC token., How weird is that
Copper relics and some strange copper spikes from "The Proximity"
A mountain of aluminum and and a wedge from same place as above.

Decided I would mow Granny's yard before the rain tomorrow. Went over there, after the Hill and bowling, finished the yard and detected. I have wanted to hit that yard since I got my machine last July. Here are my results. The Washington is from the under the old clothesline. No line anymore.....The Merc is from the front yard. It was two inches deep. The washington was at least six inches. Today I had a few firsts. My first silver washington, first two silver day, and first Susan B. Anthony. It was also my first hunt in Granny's yard!!!!!! The Susan was just under the leaves on top of the soil. I think it belonged to one of the men who worked on her foundation. Two lead fishing weights and those cars belonged to me when I was a kid. The hose was built in 1960. We were the only boys to ever live in that house to have cars from that era.
