Cool day out by the Florida spring where the water level was lower than I've ever seen it (7 years). Never actually been able to go inside the bath house building and detect the sandy bottom due to water level - check out the old photo compare to the new ones. You can see big doorway opening to the river in background of my photos and holes in wall where the various levels once were (now just top level intact). My best find was a 1947 silver dime (outside the building nearby). The bottom of the swimming area still has some water and is very gross, but if it gets lower or anyone goes in there underwater could be amazing stuff. The good stuff lost in there is not going anywhere, trapped in the building...probably was found years ago, but you never know. Some cool glass and bottle pieces too. Nice to see that glint of silver in the clod of dirt!

Hey, that's pretty badass you hunted a gator infested spring. That just ups the coolness of that Roosie ten-fold!

Rock on!

Nice silver find! :occasion14: I bet there is more around waiting for you.

Thanks for the cool pictures of the old Bathhouse.
Congrats on the silver.
An Excalibur and a hunting buddy with a Winchester is what I would use around that spot,, lol

Nice post! Congrats on the silver, and best of luck on getting at the bottom of the swimming hole.

Congrats on the silver, and adding the pictures of the old bathhouse.

Great job on the finds. Love the hunting spot. I would be packing some heat and a knife just in case a gets a little to close.

Love them vintage photos of yesteryear. And finding the silver rosie makes all the research worthwhile. I remember hiking Florida several years and seeing those gator signs. Definitely got my attention. Congrats and HH the rest of the swimming area. 7up.
