First signal was a solid dime signal. Out popped a silver coin - a 1900 Barber dime! Things were slow for a while and managed an 1891 IHC, a small flat button, and a "Chelmsford" lead seal. Towards the end of the hunt a loud foil-ish signal came up. But rather than a piece of shredded soda can, a small silver disc came out. WHAT? Could rule out a half dime, and probably Canadian too. The only thing it could be is a... 3 cent silver? YES! I did find one in the early 90s, but it was stolen. This is a wonderful treat to replace that one that one. Never thought another one would come up. 1852!

Thanks guys! It's surprising how scarce these coins are to find metal detecting. Just happy to have a replacement for the one stolen 20 years ago.

I made a sight find on one in OKC about 25 years ago and my second ex took it. It would be great if I could replace mine too, lol. The coin, not the ex......

Great finds! I love those little silvers. What type of location (park, field, residence) are you hunting? HH --Tin Foil

Awesome job. Hope it doesn't take you as long to find the next 3 center.
