signs to look for in a creek

:icon_sunny: THE ABSOLUTE BEST TELL IS THE EVIDENCE OF PRIOR WORKINGS. FROM THE TOP OF THE HIGHEST MOUNTAIN,TO THE HOTTEST NASTIEST DESERT, TO THAT UNGODLY VERTICAL CANYON--IF THERES GOLD?? SOMEBODYS BEEN THERE WORKING IT-TONS A AU 2 U 2-JOHN oops sorry

What im trying to get at is that i live in an area where it is rumored that there used to be a man who would hike into the woods and then come back with gold. So not where in the stream, but hints that the stream would contain any. Would bits of quartz in the stream be a good sign?

The best way that I found was to hike the creek and take photo’s and marking the places. Then when the spring run off is happening go back and take photo’s from the same spots. Gold only moves when the water is high. What looks like a low pressure area many not be one. The inside bend you see now may not even be there at high water. The high water photo’s will show you what is happening to the creek. The low water photo’s will show you what was causing the low pressure areas in the high water…Quartz is a good inticator. But...When gold was formed it came to the surface throught the cracks in the bedrock. If some other type of rock was on top of the bedrock you have a complely different story...Art

Maybe thats where he stashed his gold that he found elsewhere...
