Epic hunt for me tonight at my mom and dads! showing a newbie and his fiancée the ropes at the old 1800s hotel my parents own. 4 wheats(1920, 1951, 1945, 1941), two silver dimes (1941 1951) and the two biggies, 1908D Silver Half dollar and old belt buckle. not bad for 2hrs of not really paying attention and trying to teach another future hunter. I think this may have been detrimental to his development and I kept telling him this doesn't happen most of the time in our area! The barber has a ghostly white hue to it unlike any other silvers I've found. Thanks for looking.

Amazing half-dollar find, had to have been lost while very new to still have mint luster , great finds congrats !! Maybe the other half of that buckle is still there, would be trying to find it asap !

I'll bet that half stopped you in your tracks for a second, beautiful! I too would go back to see if you can find the other half if that buckle. I need to find me a newbie.

Wow that is a beautiful specimen, dropped fresh from the mint!

What a beautiful coin and that buckle is really cool. All amazing finds.

again, Nice Finds.

I bet they are even more convinced they want to go detecting after seeing that Half Pop out :laughing7:

I wonder if it's heat Damage or a Mint Error

Wow, they are all great finds! I agree, that was in a fire.

Wowzers! The only thing better than finding big silver, is finding BEAUTIFUL big silver!!

fantastic half. go back and find the other half of that buckle!

Wow, u made an impression on your trainee for sure!
Sweet finds

Well-excellent teacher example.
Nice finds & post-pics. Nice of you to share

Sweet finds. Excellent coinage! You did make a positive impression on how to spot a good target, Pinpoint and recover the target without damaging, and various good metal objects! Eye-opening for the two newbies! Hey, Lucky, keep at it! GL and HH!!

Your kindness and generosity to some new members in our hobby was richly rewarded. Virtue is it's own reward, but a little silver buys some gas. Giving your time to someone else is priceless, because as a sole caretaker for an elderly parent, I know just how valuable each member's time is to them. Getting them off on the right foot and showing them how to recover their finds without damaging them and how to pinpoint and dig small holes is great. HH.

Awesome finds.

Reckon what was on the missing part of the buckle ? Maybe a CS ?????

Do your best to find it & while in the process ill bet many other keepers will pop out.

Great Hunt

Davers
