Detector(s) used

I live on 15 acres in the ozarks and have never put a detector to the ground.Mainly because it's mostly downhill, many, many trees and an over abundance of rocks and ticks. It does start at the top from the old stage route(Butterfield). That being said,2 1/2 mi down the back road, there is an old iron bridge over the creek. It still gets a lot of use.The county was(is) going to replace it,however when they came out to start, they found some 1000 yr old artifacts. They are waiting now to find out if they can just note them or if they have to move the new bridge up the creek a short distance. They said if anyone wanted to come out and dig it would be ok.No one has yet.I don't want to just dig,but would I find anything with a detector? It's really too cold to do it now.Anyway,do you think a detector would do any good?

Dang, that would be tempting! Now that they have notified officials with their request, I'll bet that archies will be on it thicker than moonshiners on a mountain ridge. What kind of artifacts are they?

And as Soon as they realize there is someone there who isn't one, They'll Convince Officials to make you leave.

If I were you, I'd give it a Good Try, AS SOON as you get the Go.

You Won't know till you Try.

GOOD LUCK !
Jeff
