I find MANY old shotgun endcaps in my woods. From remingtons to this Peters Target no12. The appear old as the shell material has vanished compared to the newer plastic ones that are kind of a nuisance (i view them akin to chucky cheese tokens!)

Anyways, after much personal searching on google, i cant find a resource to grade/age these older brass endcaps.

Peters Target with side impression, pretty to me.

Any information appreciated!

I have found some peters ideal shells and really couldn't get an accurate date on them. I too would like a good source to date these...

If it makes any difference, the headstamp and the corrugation on the side of the cup will date your shotshell head to 1907-1911. It is a nice find!
