"Short School Hunt"

Got home a little early from work yesterday and the clouds were building but I had to go to the school for a little searchin'. While the wind was blowin' and thunder rumblin' I managed to dig a little coin. There was a lot of trash on the ballfield but did manage to get a quarter, dime and four memorials and a golf ball. The last pic is of the tot-lot at a city park built in 1942 that Ima and I have been to a couple of times, lots of trash and fill.

When I come home after not finding much and the wife asks if I found anything I usually just say yeah peace and quite. With a three year old running around the house you have to search for those moments but I would not change it for the world.

The golf ball reminded me of an outing I had a few months ago. I was in the woods where a revolutionary war skirmish took place and there is apparently an old abandoned railroad station near by. The location happens to be by a golf course so I started finding golf balls. I had to stop picking them up because my treasure pouch was getting too heavy. Never did find much of anything else. Will have to go back after tick season.
