HI

Was out just for a short hunt...

Hunted around a old Acadian Foundation dating back to the 1700s.

This is where I found my cannonballs / 1722 George coin

Here is a couple pics...dunno if its just my eyes playin tricks on me what.

But it appears to have a circular pattern and looks like a "N".....what do you think.

It,s made of lead.

Can't see it, what "N" ? sorry probably could if I was holding it.

click on the picture so that it enlarges--you can then see it quite plainly

Could be an impacted lead bullet

Def not a bullet...its perfectly flat

Yes, most likely a lead seal used to seal up bails of what ever. Some lead seals had letters or symbles stamped into them.

AHHHH.OKOK... looks like that's what it could be...ty for the link.\

I have found a few of these lead pieces around old foundations--but didn,t pay much attention to them.....guess I better look a lil closer at them next time.

Are they items of interet to collectors or just junk ?
