After battling with the contractor all week,I got to go out to coinshoot 45 minutes this morning. Just went to the local park, looki'n for some "easy kills"!:laughing7: Used the 8 kHz Coins program and got good results. Found a token, that had been executed by a mower, One Canadian penny, three quarters,15 dimes,3 nickles, and some penny's. This program is great for just coin shooting, since all the unwanted targets are either notched,or set to a low tone. All the good targets come in at a high tone. Just swing and listen!

Thanks! After 3 weeks of experimenting, and adjusting settings,it's getting there! I really like the 4 kHz,and 8 kHz frequency's. They give you a lot of room to work with the tone, and notching, settings. For coins shooting they are almost the perfect frequency.

Sweet finds there, I did change this post, tho i did see it was on the Deus forum... But you like the Deus then? ;)
Happy hunting

Yeah! I like it a lot! Once you get the hang of adjusting the features(and I'm still learning),you can make it hunt anything you want it to,very easy!

Nice Ron...took my boat anchor (Deus) out today too. I got 1 dime, 1 button, 2 zippers and two awesome zinc pennies. On a brighter note I had to dig almost 3 inches to retrieve one of the pennies! Everything else was surface or just under.

*prolly too light to be an anchor, so it's not even good for that!*:BangHead:

What kHz are you running? I've been using Basic 1 set to 8 kHz,discrimination at 5,and 0-30 notched out, then 95-99 notched out, three tones (could use 2 tones) and leave Iron Audio at 0! I've got it at 2 as of now,so I can hear the nails, ect. I'm beginning to think a coins program will only need two tones,a no dig low signal, and a dig high signal.I started running the discrim at 5,to smooth out the machine. At 0 it was sounding like a machine gun, picking up everything,it crossed.

Looks like you did well Good job!
Thanks,it's been kinda bumpy, but I'm starting to get the hang of the machine,a little better as time passes.

You the man Ron!
That's some good hunting:thumbsup:

I'll try and take my Deus out to and old yard next week, I'll see if it will pick up anything I missed with my other detectors.

I can almost bet it will! Mine seems to find coins over and over in the same areas.

I was told that this token was for a slot machine? It doesn't have any name on it,just "NO CASH VALUE" on one side?

Have you guy's found,or seen one of these? Ron

Man you dont play! Hate to see how many you could dig in a few hours in that place!

Nice rk u got some nice programs I been using urs aswell getting some deep.6+ clad mid 80's some & most later using 3 tones definetly the way to go. Its basically a guarantee with the deus ur coming home with something. I seem to use ur program & then next time i go back i put on my 12k program & play clean up works very well hh

Bart, that park is full of mostly pennys, and clad silver. You hit a coin almost on every other swing in some areas!:laughing7: I guess no one else really hunts it but me. I got to where I was passing pennys up,because I was tired of diging them. I've never found anything of real value there just clad, but there's a ton of it! There is a double basketball court there,I hunted a while back. It took me 2 1/2 hours to make one complete pass around the edges of it.It was just swing,beep,swing,beep!:laughing7: Had 7.59 in clad. It is a great place to test out a program. There are surface coins, and coins down to 6 inches, and tons of "can slaw"!:laughing7:
