Short hunt gets me a nice Civil War C button and a Barber dime

Only walked about an hour or so today due to the wind blowing 35 mph+ but I was able to get a CW calvary button and 1908D Barber dime and a small gold plated bead . This was the second Calvary button from this site.

Thank you so much , I do realize this area is rich in history and known to be one of the richest archeological areas in Illinois.

Probably from the men who lived on the home site, alot of men from this county in Illinois were veterans of the Civil War

Here’s a breakdown of the number of soldiers from each state. IL is number 4. There were a lot of veterans from my county as well. The 41st IL Vol Inf were our local boys.
