Went to a large annual coin show this morning to spend my latest batch of cashed in clad. I had a total of $90.00 worth, the majority being found in the last two weeks or so. I got out detecting yesterday morning for a few hours, and picked up $19.18 between two different schools. That really gave me a nice boost up to my total of $90.00. Only spent $84.00 though, I bought 2 Morgan silver dollars and 4 Peace silver dollars, all grading almost uncirculated condition. They were $14.00 each, not a bad price at all, they are real beauties. I just love going shopping with free clad money. Will probably go out hunting again tomorrow to start saving up clad for more coin shopping! Happy hunting everyone!

Great idea to use your clad to buy silver dollars. Should prove to be good investments.

Great buys. I am currently putting my claddage in my daughter's account to make up for some we used for car repairs. Afterwards I am thinking strongly of beginning to buy silver coinage. Gonna be a tough call on where to buy. Kinda hate to ebay it, but it might be my option. Unless I go Knoxville / Lexington. You see our Pawn Shop coin collectable places here really don't want to sale their Morgan's, Peace, SLQ...etc. They still believe that common dates Morgans should be over $200 etc. Sad part is they might actually sell some. Lots of peps here without internet and lots of em don't really leave the county.

Great buys congratulations,

I've managed to save up around $30 in found clad so far. I'm saving it up to buy a tenth ounce american eagle gold, but the longer it takes me to find the money, the more expensive the gold gets!

I bought a bunch of silver halves off ebay. If you shop around, you can get them for under $5.00 (except seated and bust of course).

Here's a quick tip for buying silver at possibly a cheaper price. Look at those antique malls where the owner rents booths on a weekly or monthly basis. People sometimes put items in them to sell and then sit back waiting for the money to come in by letting the owners sell the stuff for them. By doing so, they tend to price their items and then just let it sit. For example, I bought a stack of silver Rosies for .50 each. That's an almost 100% profit in melt value.
