It was a great day hunting at one of my favorite shipwreck barrier island beach spots in a very low minus tide which yielded an extremely stripped beach down to near hard shell status, feeturing plenty of black sand.

I found a lot of great coins, but the Brits ruled the day as the best finds... I pulled a fantastic shipwreck King George III Copper from 177x (looks like a 1, but coin is worn down). I also pulled what looked to be a very worn down wheatie, but the middle doesn't fit the design. . Can anyone take a shot at what it could be?

I aso dug a 1965 pure silver QE II Canadian 25c coin with a really "cool" Wintry Deer image on the reverse.

The best ship spike that I pulled looks like it's attached to a pc of wood (I need to lightly chip away at this encrustation tomorrow to see about the age and origin).

A few Wheaties and a few pre-64 silvers rounded it out...

Happy hunting....JB

Congrats!
You have a corroded and corroded coin. One that suggests you don't hardly touch it.
Makes it hint of an Indian head cent to me.

Compare the wreathing on the obverse to your raised area that hints of wheat heads to you. Maybe?

Tks for your insight.. Usually when I have corroded coins they are too far gone. This one is one little step above that, due to the wreath looking design. I'll probably put it in my junk pile with my other worn down coins...
