Shiny black speckled rock?

Granite schist with what are probably tourmaline crystals, the black, is my guess. The white is likely a combination of quartz and feldspar. Not uncommon for some regions but it makes an attractive decoration.

I'm tempted to think it's closer to Diorite in composition. The black is pyroxene, IMO, rather then tourmaline.

Could be EU they look similar :) Closer pictures would help but a rock in hand would be better ;) hehh
