Got out for a few hours today but there were not many places to go, most of the fields are under water so stubble fields were the only choice We hopped onto a field just below a Bronze Age ridge way, done this field before and finds have been very sparse to say the least and today was no exception.
After about two hours I had dug but a handful of signals, a Musket ball being the best object, just then I noticed Tim my detecting buddy walking towards me I knew he had a decent find, and he did, and She would have looked good if the plough hadn't cleaved, half of here head off Well at least she knows now, what Mary Queen of Scots felt like when the axe man took off the back side of here head... with the first blow
Things didn't get any better for me, although I managed a Charles 11 copper, and a nice Tombac button... I Hope there is better to come.
