Some boys were playing Army in the woods...
It's possible! It was on property for a boys home/school property that operated from 1906 until the late 40s. I also found a WWI victory medal on the property.
Thanks for the comment!

Found this WWII Era, Army, sterling silver sharpshooter medallion in the woods today. Thought it was cool! ๐Ÿ‘
well done, such a cool find. I found one last year and was thrilled with it. Well done

We're from the same area! Congrats on your find, too. Was it the same medallion that you found?

Looks like is a medallion attached to a pendent at one time or another

There would have been bars hanging off of it that had the weapons that the person was a sharpshooter with. Such as; machine gun, rifle, carbine, etc. They would have hung below this medallion. No more than 3, even if they were proficient with more than 3 weapons.
Thanks for the reply!

mine is slightly different, pretty sure it's WWII. Found about an hour north of KC in a park. Give a shout if you would like to meet up sometime. I go swingin' quite often.

Must have been a thing back in the day... I found a silver one (US Marines) in an old Boy Scout camp.
