settle a harmless debate

small debate among us whether this is from a clock or a fishing reel. i first thought clock but then i realized i'd found several parts of a hendryx fishing reel within 20 feet of where i found this and now I'm thinking reel others still say clock. what do you think internet?

Count the teeth and missing spaces I can see 52 teeth but it is tough to get an accurate count. If there are 60 teeth it is the second escape gear for the pendulum one tooth one second. If there is any count other than 60 I would lean towards a wind up toy The gear is to light for a fishing reel IMO

a ships clock would be a hell of a thing to show up in a yard in se Kansas haha, a mid sized or even a small reel would be very possible there are 4 farm ponds on the property no need for heavy tackle, wind up toy is a possibility because it was found near the sand box where me and my cousins would play when we were little but also outside the outbuilding where we kept the fishing equipment. i tried to count from the pic and got 52 as well ill count the real thing when I'm home.
