SERIOUSLY 1000 LB PULL MAGNET

What in the world is so great about rusty lake bottom iron and steel?
I rarely dig iron on purpose, so I'm just curious what 's the appeal?

There are many rusty old things that they have raised up that have a degree of artifact value and as such become desired by some. Plus not everything being brought up is old and rusty. How about a new looking Glock still in the holster, or a tool box full of tools that was knocked off a boat when it was placed on the edge of the boat to make a small engine repair. Smaller items like pliers, scissors, multi tools, cell phones, are just a few things that are fairly common to bring up. There are a lot of us that also just like to have the excitement when the item being brought up is finally seen.

It's the same as regular fishing. Most of the time you catch worthless little blue gill but sometimes you nail a trophy bass. Same with magnet fishing. Most of the time you find crap but sometimes you find treasures. I've personally found guns, knives, purses, phones, all kinds of stuff that people drop off piers or off there boat.
