It would depend on the person and the site being hunted but ...
a lot beach hunters have say that you have to dig 1000 Pull Tabs for each Gold Ring.

Late on uploading but here are my finds from a beach hunt in Ocean City, Maryland on September 14th, 2024.

$1.32 in change. My first cigar cutter, and it still works so it wasn't down there too long. I'm still keeping my pull tabs until I get that first gold ring then I'll count them :D
Dry sand or wet sand or both ? and I will say, that is better than a few of MY recent beach hunts !!
