In my opinion (am I really that opinionated?) the flattened lead balls are game pieces, with or without a central hole. Would be nice to find one with black paint on one side to prove my idea.

Diameter of the lead balls is significant for fur trade sites. Average for Brits is supposed to be around .54-.56 cal.
